Choose by task and prerequisite
| Route | Useful for | Check first |
|---|---|---|
| Named-location house sweep | Searching ordinary chests without a key detour | Nearby enemies, untouched buildings and an exit |
| Fortune’s Fort waterfall | A recognizable cave and coastal loot sequence | Match the rock wall and emote position |
| The $.$. Rocky vault | A vault visit when you already have its key | Carry a Vault Key before going to the yellow door |
| The Chest beach | Buried-loot searching | Find intact mounds and allow time to dig |
| Sprite Wanted Poster | A task specifically asking for poster-linked Sprite Chests | Interact with the poster and read its Treasure Map |
| Northeast offshore island | An optional coastal detour after the fort | Check the storm and whether the beach is already cleared |
For Pirate Shop Access specifically, standard chests are the supported starting point. A route with a rare chest or a spectacular vault is not automatically a better token route. There is no verified percentage showing that one of these destinations increases the chance per eligible chest.
Build a short opening rather than an island-wide tour
Before leaving the bus, choose a primary search area and one nearby fallback. A house sweep at a familiar named location is useful because it avoids a key requirement: search the rooms and levels you can reach, take enough loot to defend yourself, then move to the next intact building.
Loguetown and Lantern Landing are options on the chest search map. The practical choice is the one you can search safely in your match. If opponents are landing on your intended roof, use the fallback rather than treating a creator’s preferred location as an obligation.
Start at the upper level of a building when the landing permits it and work down so you are less likely to retrace the same stairs. Check accessible attic and under-stair spaces when they exist. These are search habits, not a guarantee that every house contains a chest in both positions.
Divide nearby work without losing the squad
Assign adjacent buildings or sides of a small area before everyone starts opening the same doors. One player can take the nearest house while another checks the next building. Call a building cleared when you leave it, so teammates know where fresh searching begins.
Keep a common regroup point and rotate together when the storm or an enemy push makes the area unsafe. Efficient division means fewer repeated checks; it does not require players to separate across distant landmarks where a teammate cannot help.
A token find also rewards the other members of the duo, trio or squad. This describes reward sharing. It does not establish better odds on each chest, a guaranteed token after a certain number of matches, or whether a player joining later receives a past reward. Keep those separate when planning with friends.
Decide when a special route is worth the detour
Use the Rocky vault route when you already have a Vault Key and enough safe-zone time. If you lack the key, a long trip to a closed door can waste the searching time you hoped to gain. Keep searching nearby ordinary chests instead of assuming the key will appear on demand.
Use the waterfall walkthrough when you can identify its cave entrance and flat emote wall. That route has a visible opening action and a rear chamber. If the wall does not respond, compare the position before spending the match pickaxing the wrong rock.
Choose The Chest beach for buried loot or a suitable chest objective. Choose the poster route when the task specifically asks for poster-linked Sprite Chests. Digging a random mound is not a substitute for first interacting with the poster and following its map.
Know when to stop searching an area
Rotate when the remaining containers require more travel than the storm allows, when opened chests show the area is cleared, or when continuing would force a fight with poor supplies. Finishing every line of a route is less useful than staying alive to search in the next safe zone.
A good end to the opening is simple: usable equipment, the nearby accessible chests checked, and the squad together on the way to the next zone. A token is a possible reward during that routine, not a result you can schedule.
If you obtain access, switch tasks. Read activation and claim planning before starting the 14-day window. More searching will not answer which year to activate or whether an offer is excluded.
Do not build the route around an unsupported shortcut
A clip of a token appearing in one house does not prove that house always produces it. A large number of buried containers does not prove those containers have the same special reward pool. Extra ordinary loot is also not evidence of improved Pirate Shop Access odds.
Treat claims about a required outfit, guaranteed location, secret creator code or exact chest count as unverified unless the game itself establishes the rule. This comparison uses visible route prerequisites and practical search choices; it does not rank locations by an unmeasured drop rate.
Watch the route

The narrator explicitly says the odds are unknown and that he has not personally found a token. Location preferences in that video are not measured drop-rate results.
